tyre size

hi all i need some tyres for my track wheels ive been offered some 205 50 16s will that size be ok for the 172 cup?

they are too big for a car that already has tyre rubbing issues (when lowered). 195/45 r16 is the std size, although for track use 195/50 r15 are the best option

ive got 205 45 17s lowerd over 60mm had it on the rear bump stops without any rubbing??? so cant see how 205/5016s will rub??

on the front people are getting the rubbing even with 195/50 r15. on the rear yeah you could go larger

The ovearall tyre circumference will be quite a bit more than your standard 195/45/16 so speedo readings will be well out, as for rubbing on the wheel arches and shocks you will only know when you fit them.
I also use 195/50 15' for the track and well pleased with them.
