tyre sizes

hello

not knowing too much about tyres i was just quoted (to replace my bolding)195/45/15 s , £170 (for 4 cheapo s) i thought this was alot considering my lastcar had 195/50/15 s and you could get decent tyres for that money , so what im thinking should i go for cheap 45/15 or better 50/15 s will there be much difference ? cheers (96 clio rsi)

I would get the dearer ones. Remember, the tyres are the only things that "connect" your car to the road.

the reason the 45 are more expensive is because there a lower profile tyre, which means there less common, which means they cost more

get some goodyear eagle F1s in 195/50/15 from mytyres.net. £35 a tyre delivered to ya house. it wont cost much at all to get em fitted. u wont regret it!
