UCH, getting slightly p*ssed off now!!

after all the money and time ive spent on getting my 172 cup to as near mint as possible the sodding uch appears to have reared its ugly faulty head again! got it back from BBA reman after the indicator got stuck on, fitted it back in and all was ok..... for 2 days! now wipers come on randomly but worst thing is the immobiliser wont de activate so i cant drive it! tried the spare key but still does the same thing. going to send it back to BBA as it has a 2yr warranty on it but was just wandering if the immobiliser coud be anything else? just seems a bit coincidental that there wasnt a problem with the wipers and immobiliser before i sent it off

Lol sadly mate mine did something similar after it was fixed by BBQ reman. They repaired it pretty quick without much fuss.

if the wipers are going funny it might be a relay on the UCH going on the blink. Immobiliser could be a variety of things unfortunately. Any more info?

i rang bba and they are sendin a courier to pick up the uch tomorrow. still very helpful guys and didnt fuss about it, and its free! will keep u updated with wot happened. what happened to yours chris?

a pain in the arse if you ask me!

an electrical part that controls wipers, lights alarms etc, and if ot breaks will set you back £300+ for a new one

Exactly this so you did right by not going off at them as it might not be their fault... maybe you upset a connection whilst fitting it? At least you're giving them the oppertunity to take a look and fix it if there is an issue.

Mine was generally playing up, hazard lights flashing etc so they fixed it, then the central locking played up lol, they sorted it trouble free though.

BBA Reman are normally 2-3 days but they quote more to cover themselves.

yeh, sent mine off, picked up by courier and delivered back by courier 4 days after they picked it up.

may have upset a connection fitting it as it is a bit fiddly to do! lol just hope they can fix it and i can get to drive the bloody thing!
