UCH not broke anymore?

This is weird!

A while back i had a dodgy UCH (lights flickering lots of noise, alarm going crazy) and so bought a second hand one (including ecu and fobs) this worked fine but i wanted all the originals together.

So Id planned to take it to renault tomorrow to get fixed so i replaced it all to original. I was expecting symptoms again once id swapped it over to the broken one. But nothing, just like one thats not broke?

now I'm confused. any one any ideas why? :S

Wether it develops the symptoms again over time i do not know. Seems odd. Very odd

Water can get into the connections . Any corrosion on the pins?

Did you change the relays?

Not so fortunate symptoms back again! Bizarre though!

As said water can get in throught the bulkhead. I vaguely rememeber changing one under warranty years ago for the same thing.

Probably best to remove scuttle panel and washer bottle and silicone up any bungs in that area, also check drain hole is free. Then id leave heaters on full for a while to dry it out and try it from there.

One I've had in has been there for about 3 months and had no problems. This ones just had it I think

Mine fixed itself for almost a year then came back so wouldnt be so sure.

mine also fixed itself for a while (indicator flashing when winding window up), then came back in the summer and has fixed itself again. I'm putting it down to excess heat in the cabin as it played up on the warmer days in the summer. Need to remove it and open it up really to have a look at it.

Mine worked fine for all of half an hour (i got excited thinking it was fixed)

In the end i went to renault for a new one
