UCH service

I have a few minor issues with my UCH which will need sorting out sooner rather than later. Has anyone used this service, or can you recommend anyone else who's good around the Manchester area as I use the car daily and need as little down time as possible?

This place has been recommended before.

What issues are you having with it at the minute?
I'm sure these are all related to it but the car is driving fine at the mo....

Only the bottom half of the heated rear window works
Sometimes on intermittent wipe the wipers just keep going
Sometimes the heater control lights on one side are dim
The lights left on alarm doesn't sound (sometimes it will)
Seatbelt unbuckled alarm doesn't sound (sometimes it will)
Indicators don't 'click' (again, sometimes they will click and then stop again even before the signal is cancelled)

Just sounds like its french to me .... 🤷‍♂️

Its like the gift that keeps on giving.

My R26 decided the dash lights were optional the other day! Had to guess my speed all the way home as it was dark :ROFLMAO:

Bottom half of my heated rear window also doesnt work, but i assumed it was the strip on the window that had broken. Is it even powered in 2 halves?

I don't know but I checked mine and couldn't see anything wrong. It'd take an auto-electrican to suss it out, I guess.

Only the bottom half of the heated rear window works - rear screen bars are damaged.
Sometimes on intermittent wipe the wipers just keep going - poss uch
Sometimes the heater control lights on one side are dim - bulb needs changing or fitting tighter

The lights left on alarm doesn't sound (sometimes it will)
Seatbelt unbuckled alarm doesn't sound (sometimes it will)
Indicators don't 'click' (again, sometimes they will click and then stop again even before the signal is cancelled)

All the above sounds like issues with the clocks as sound comes from them from memory. Might be wrong

Which clock? The digital one on the dash or are you referring to another part completely? If it is the dash clocks that's bloody typical of the French to make a sound happening dependent on a bleedin' clock working or not!

Actually, my dash clock does sometimes decide to not display properly. Bloody French!

I did that job when I first got this car. Spent half a day removing the fan unit, cut hands etc, and installed another unit. Tried it and it didn't work. Then I checked the relays in the engine bay and found one to be almost out of it's fitting point. It worked perfectly after the relay was pushed back in

Interesting that, as driving to work this morning, half way there it started working all by itself. I'll make sure all the relays are pushed in!

When my car conked out one day (it was the cps) the AA guy first took a look at all my relays, they were all covered in green corrosion and was surprised the car actually operated ok with them in that state. It’d be worthwhile when you get time taking them all out and giving them a good scrape and spray with contact cleaner.
