I know this is a thread from the dead, but a recent thread reminded me I didn't reply with what was at fault. May be of help to anyone experiencing the same problem.
I found that when I'd put the springs in, I'd set the tail ends of the springs differently. I jacked it up, undone the shocks, turned the springs so that the spring ends (tails) were pointing the same direction (I.e both pointing to the rear) and bolted it all back up!
Although i dont know how as the springs compress the same but it Fixed my problem, and made the car ride level.
