Its illegal not undrivable, my backbox fell off the other day, got to wait until tuesday to get a full system. Mine is in my boot incase i get pulled and then ive got an excuse. Its just really loud, in fact some people would pay for the sound lol!

Not sure if emissions are affected, noise level is way above what it should be. If they pull you over you can get done.

That happened to my mate when he had his golf, he couldnt afford to get a new one for ages so just kept driving with no back box. never got pulled some how, was loud as fook

Where mine has broke the heatsheild goes right back to it so i dont think there is any chance of damage either. I cant say ive notice i lack of power too but im unsure of that because of the sheer noise levels!!!

my mate at work had a back box nicked off his escort - said he took it out and was like "yea its proper loud its mint" then his gf asked where his exhaust was when he got back!,
my gf's brother had an exhaust trim nicked and an aerial, it fails to suprise me what people will steal hence the reason i wont get a spoiler, if i caught them they wud pay

Worst I've had happen is some little scrote nick my Renault badge off my 182 - 3 weeks after we got it
My sport badge looked a little lonely there too so I moved that to the clio side to keep it company

It's a bit of a barsteward that happened matey, People cant leave feck all alone, put tar grease mixed with glass and dog s**t on the next one

Was your exhaust really noisy? I wonder if an annoyed neighbour or something robbed your exhaust because they were pissed off about it being too loud maybe?

Then again, a car without a backbox is going to be even noisier so they can't win.

Gutted for you anyway mate. It's certainly the strangest car related theft i've seen.
