Unknown object found

Can anyone tell me what this is?? It was just sat on top of the rear diffuser. When I took the diffuser off it just fell on the floor. It looks like it's sheared off something.

Not whilst I've owned it. Would a suspension spring have that rubber bit on it though?

Yes, on the rear they do. It helps keep the spring seated when it’s not compressed.

I'd be checking the springs to make sure they're complete!
It's possible it's off an old one that's been replaced but it doesn't take long for clean metal to go rusty.
