Unlocked and emulated F4R ECU - Will this still run in a 172?

Basically I had my ECU unlocked and an emulator fitted for my Mk1, but the car will not start and I am thinking the ECU is at fault. Would I be able to test it in a standard 172?

The immobiliser pin on the ECU has been removed so the 172 key wont be able to send a message to it but the emulator should get over this right?

yes if it's a PH1, don't try with a fbw throttle car
