Unlocking iphone 5 se

Gfs iphone broke and whilst its away for repair shes wanting to use her old phone. Problem is it's not unlocked, anyone have any guides to do this for free? Or is it not possible?

Ring the network it’s locked too and as long as it’s out of its contract term, they’ll unlock it for free. It can take up to 48 hours though.

If its on EE I believe their phones automatically unlock after the contract term expires
