Update on my situation

you cant take the law into your own hands, just like you cant be jury, judge and justice at the same time, thats why we have laws in the first place understand? What would of happened if he got stabbed due to his bravado and lack of thinnking, maybe this post would read differently, he also acted with lack of thought and control turning himself into the aggressor. I say lock them both up.

LOL then we should lock everyone up surley for 3 points on their licence with a SP30 as they pose a great danger to the public than Ben P. Surley community service or a fine but Ben P isnt going to do it to anyone else so why lock him up?

172 man, I have to disagree, I read the last post just before you edited it. Namecalling is not the soup of the day. I am certainly not childish and am in no way a violent man. I can and will defend with all my might, my property and/or loved ones. I would certainly use my brain long before I would feel the need to use violence, after all violence is the product of an empty mind.

Simply put, if we had a justice system that actually did what we pay for, then there would not be a need for us to defend our own stuff. The deterent would be stiffer so maybe then, tampering with someone elses hard earned property may be less of an attraction to the scum of our society. Locking these people up just gets the the mental tools from other inmates, to take on harder security systems and therfore higher priced possessions.

In todays society there is far too much violence, but hell, it goes with territory...I say again, we have the right to defend our own property no matter what the cost.

Bill.

He has learnt his lesson already so what good will locking him up do? Your not protecting anyone from him!

Both Ben and this Nick have both been punished, Ben has even discovered something new about himself for good or bad.

Defending your property with reasonable force should be everyones right especially as there are so few police officers on the streets (or at least it seems this way).

Now shall we leave this topic alone and stop bothering Ben as he needs to stop going over what happend and get on.

Agreed 100%

I am sitting here, no one has had a go at my car, so I have time for rational thought, If I caught someone at my car then I WOULD put them in hospital.

If you ask me the guy in bens case got off lightly. I am not a violent person, I keep myself to myself and have never started a fight in my life (I have ended quite a few though) But as I said if I found someone trying to nick my car I would beat them senseless.

I dont care what others say, I dont care about being polically correct, if it comes down to it thats whats going to happen.

hmmm of course like the guy from Bradford who would of PUT him in hospital and ended up in a pool of blood DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

at least he died protecting his own property, and the guy that was just a theif is now up for 1st degree murder.

Ofcourse with the laws in this country he will probably get 37minutes community service for it.

If I was living back in USA I would quite happily put a bullet in the thiefs head, the thing that would bother me most would be the bullet would hit my car.

I would have absolutly no regrets. They got what they deserved, there was a car that was nicked round my area a while back, they joy rided it at ridiculous speeds putting inocent pedestrians at risk.. they ended up loosing control and crashing into a tree, the car caught fire and the one of them died in it another was in hospital with serious injuries.

I was glad the guy died, he deserved it.. he wont be taking anyone elses cars, I hope the other guy that wasnt wearing a seatbelt has permanent injuries. he deserves no less.

at least he died protecting his own property

thats the complete opposite of what should of happened and the most stupid thing ive heard any one say. Im sure his family dont feel the same as you at all, and that he should of left it to the police! .....

And this talk of quite happily putting a bullet in someones head as if youve done it a thousand times before, is also paramount to being a little influenced by ali g i suspect. Most of what you say is tripe.

I do agree with the laws being crap and youths running amock of the law, punishment SHOULD be severe then they wouldnt do it.

i just cant for one minute think youd have no regretes about killing someone unless your mentally unstable.. or watch too many john Woo films LOL

i know if i caught someone breaking into my car i would make em bite the kurb like in american history x. Nasty but they learn.

To be honest i would be dissapointed if my missuss family didnt back me up?

Just beware of a revenge attack, if possible hook up a cheap camera, so if anythin happens to ya motor you know who it is.

myky16 that has to be the worst scene in a film that ive ever seen. Makes me cringe every time i think of it...the noise is the worst part:(

yeah, the noise of ceramic/china touching shapening stone..ergh

172man..........um, no........

i think your car would be wasy to nick now, seeing as you would stand by and watch.....possibly hand the keys over from behind a locked door?

padded cell mate???

I must admit, I have no problem with wot Ben did in that situation. If more of us stood up to the injustices in this country, perhaps it would be a better place!

I am sure Ben didnt want to be in that situation but remember, he was forced to act due to some mindless pr*ck who cant keep his grubby hands off other peoples hard earned property.

The matter is simple, if the little mailto:tw@t">tw@t didnt try breaking into Bens car in the first place, he would not now be in hospital!

Wot should he have done? Watched the guy take his car, ring up an ineffective Police force only to be informed the following day that it was found burnt out resulting in a higher ins premium and loss of excess and a criminal free to do the same to some other poor buggers car!???

tripe ? maybe i am mentally unstable  Ali G .. the guy is rubbish

one things for sure, i wouldnt stand by and watch them drive my car away..

okay fair point maybe killing someone is a bit OTT but until the laws change and make the punishment so unacceptable for car thieves I will make my own justice. I dont blame the police, they are as powerless as the next person..

What if you stood by while someone stole your car and later found out that they killed a mum and her kids walking along the street, wouldnt you feel just slightly guily for standing by and watching while you wait for the police to arrive 20 minutes later.

"I think the law is a little too relaxed in this country, and the guy deserved to be frightened, and also shown the error of his ways. However, I think Ben went a little too far and he even acknowledges this. He lost control and went berserk, something that should not be celebrated. It is this loss of control that upset his gf, look at it from her perspective, the man she has known and loved all her life just violently beat a man to a pulp. She must be scared that he is not who she thought he was and possibly a little scared of Ben as well. Ben - If your girlfriend really knows you then this should be forgiven quickly but probably not forgotten as quickly.

Good luck on getting away with it, and good luck with you gf. You sound like a nice guy, sorry this happened to you."

I agree with Greeper

hi guys this isnt really relivant to ben but,

i had a friend who was a t a club 1 night with his brothers and his friends, he felt ill and left the club early about 10 mins before his brothers and his m8s.

any way as he left the club an asian youth mugged him, he handed his wallet over and said look m8 i dont want trouble have my money and just leave me alone the guy took his money and beat the living daylightsout of him, my m8s brothers and friends were coming round the corner and saw this and turned on the asain kid gave him a fractured arm and brok his jaw they picked up my m8 and took him home who later ended up in intensive care for fluid on the brain and swelling.

the next day police turned up at my m8s house to take a statement, they took the state ment and left, later that day they were asked to come to the station to help with a lineup for the asain kid just as they turned up the asain kid and his family where there, they had gone and told the police that they racialy attacked him.

my m8s 2 brothers and 1 of there friends ended up in prison for 6 months the asian kid got off with 100 hours comunity service for attempted mugging.

as for my m8 he has a stutter now and finds it had to consentrate.

How is that for our f**ked up laws??

ben did the right thing he faught for what was his, im sure if ne of us were walking to our car and saw some tw*ts breaking in we would all do the same, and if u are sat there thinking i would just sit there and watch you have somthing wrong with u.

i know none of that had ne thing to do with ben but it does have summit to do with our crap laws.

anouther thing i read the other day was about a guy who woke 1 night to find that there was some 1 in his back garden breaking in his shed. He called the police and told them what was happening he got told ok sir some 1 will be with u shortly but we are very busy and cant give a definate time.

10 mins past and the police hadnt turned up and the robbers were still in his back garden sorting through his stuff, he called the police back said hi i called 10 mins ago about some 1 braking in my shed the police man on the other end said yes sir what now? he said oh just to tell u dont worry about coming out i have shot them with my shot gun they are dead now, they wont be steeling ne thing else, withing 1 minuet there was 7 police cars at his front door.

he hadnt really shot the robbers, but it just shows how bad our police and our law system is.

good luck ben.

f**k. that really saddens me that theres sh*t like that going on malice. that just about sums it up for me-somethign i dont think the police, government, or anyone else will EVER get to the bottom of.

we know the laws in this dump of a place are fuc*** up big time.. and its getting worse. That pakistani kid if he did that in pakistan he would get taken to the police station stripped butt naked and lashed 50 times. He would never do it again. This country is soft.

Mailce - maybe thats the way to deal with it. Its like when youre being raped youre supposed to shout "fire" instead of rape apparently?

I think the best thing to do would be to learn the art in bondage and mild torture. If i had the knowhow/strength etc and saw a (turd) burgler stealing my car id go over and restrain him using any means necessary.

Thieves should have their hands cut off and kiddy fiddlers should have "PAEDO" branded/tattoed on their heads. Shootings too good for them.

i saw a program once about forign countrys and there laws and there was 1 country where they had a film of a guy that had try to steal a car the police got him put him in the back of a truck, took him to a building where they tied ropes around his hands and feet pulled him tight put plastic bags on his right hand and right foot tied them tight put a blindfold on him got a saw chopped off his hand and his foot picked him up put him in the van drove him back to where he stole the car from and dumped him on the street.

needles to say he didnt do it again.

also there was a brittish kid that was on holiday in arabia or some where like 10 years ago and he stole and apple or somthing (cant remember what he did) and for his punishment he got 50 lashes on the wooden birch it was in all the news etc.

why cant our country do that?

kiddy fiddlers and rapists well ne 1 that does somthing sick should be punished, and i mean more punished than being locked up give a place to sleep given 3 meals a day and lots of people to talk to, what exactly does prison teach some 1 ??

the kids that killed jamie buldger should of had a public stoning or somthing, somthing that caused them pain not put in prison for a few years to be let out given somewhere to live and being able to carry on like it didnt happen, what message does that give kids today ?? kids could be seeing htis and think fine i will go out kidnap a little child beet him, mutilate him and then kill him, our country is f**king stupid.

while i cant say hey guys if ur car gets broken in to go out and find the person and kick the sh*t out of them, cos as it has been said 2 wrongs dont make a right, i can understand why ben did it and i would of done the same.

i have been known to have a short temper but i can say that i have never been in a real fight im only just 18 and im pleased to say that, i find my self getting more wound up though lately with stupid things i see, i was driving along the other day going through a small town i was going slow and making sure i was aware of what was happening as it was busy, i was cralling along going up a hill and some bloke and his misses walk out infront of me i saw them and stopped he walked to my bonnet and slapped it with his hand.

now im a big person im 62" and stocky build but in my clio i look small cos my bucket seats are low, so i get out and im really pissed as i open the dorr he shouts oh yeh come on m8 ill f**king kick your ass, as i step out he goes oh sh*t sorry m8 my fault, now why are people that ignorant and f**king pig headed.

i know im waffleing on tonight but i saw a program on tv earlier was about familys that have had to call in the social to get them to take there kids in to care cos they are out of control, there was a kid calling his mum a b**ch steeling from her and cussing etc just genrally being a sh*t, then they tell u how old he was and they said he was like 7 or somthing.

now i love my mum im not ashamed to say that she has brought me up well and given me all she can i would never treat her ne thing like that.

then it comes to the parents of the kid and they said what happend where did it all go wrong to the parents and they say well we dunt know he just went mad 1 day. NO whonder there is so much crime and problems its the parents fault they just shouldnt have kids they are the reason the kids go that way.

im sorry for going on :D

Yeah i agree. They just get left to roam the streets and hang around drinking "DOYMUND WOIYT" in the bus shelter. I saw a 10-year old nagging his mum "give us a fag mum, go on, go on, go on" and eventually she gave in and gave him one! i dont understand some people.

sophisticated people ehh? NOT...

The worst are those who think its clever to be thick....

and have no self respect...:(

So it would be ok if the law had given this kid a kicking but not for ben to do it? riiight......
