Update!

just got off the phone to reno, they said they will rework my panel and re-spray it. they said it will be as good as new. they also said to replace the panel would mean undoing the welds and re-welding which would leave the car weak. am i getting a good deal? basically i dont want this to effect the value of the car.

if it looks as good as new then shouldnt be a problem mate

if you want another opinion, get yourself down to RS Autobodies in Pilsworth, Bury, i had some bodywork done there and the guy there is very honest and his prices are more than reasonable......
