Upgrading Calipers

  Abarth Grande Punto
Hiya Guys and Girls,

I am thinking of upgrading my brake calipers all round on me 182 to some sexy looking ones like the brembo's.

Just wondering how much it would cost? My brake pads and discs are fine at the mo.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks Stu

You do hardcore track driving? The standard calipers are off a 2.9 v6 espace! Try uprated discs and pads before shelling out. Mite not be that much in it if you only do the odd track day.

Miltage, speak to Brian about Brembo calipers - they cost a fair whack mate. Tbh I think you'd be ok with up-rated discs & pads.

As above..lots of money.

Clio is quite a light car so unless your really hammering it on tracks then teh OE calipers coupled with some decent pads & discs should be up to the job.

Up to you though.....Brembos certainly look the buisness and will be better than the orignal setup under hard use.

really not worth the cash mate.
Just go with some brembo high carbon discs and pagid blue pads, or some other combination.

If you really want the brembo's for the looks etc, as above, speak to brian

  Turbos.
Tarox is s**t.

I don't get why people say a big brake kit isn't worth it, have they actually tried one? I doubt it.

I'd be interested in the Compbrake kit FMP sells as it is lighter than the OEM set up. Not sure if the Brembo is or not...
