Upper dash only

Basically building track car with a ro22 cage in it, only want to use the dash top but wondered how people fit them without the lower dash in place?

I can tell you that one is held down by cable ties ?

I use just the upper, I kept the 3 retaining screws to keep it level, and installed 3 x L brackets from bulkhead to dash. also tied it into steering column for additional support.
