UPRATED LOWER ENGINE MOUNT BUSHES

AS THE TITLE SAYS'...... HAS ANYONE CHANGED OR HAD PROBLEMS WITH THIS..... K-TEC OFFER THE UPRATED PART....

iv got a 52 reg 172

waste of time IMO, causes unessesary stess on the other mounts, but thats just my opinion

Have one fitted to mine, was on when I got the car. Does seem to vibrate noticably on tickover and pulling away but other than that.....i'll have to wait and see.

so all in all...
they said that it was a manufacture fault... yet the uprated repalcement is no better.... in fact possible worse...
is that right.... and probably not worth replaceing the original

anything that stops the engine moving about is good in my book.

Shame they dont do uprated mounts for the rest of the engine.

DIY them the top mount is quite easy to sort realy.


I don't recomend any of them though they overload the other mounts prematurly and wear components. IF Renault could have made them stronger they would have but they woulnd't have forfilled the requirments that a part should do.

I had one without knowing the downsides and won't be using one again.
