The drain plug is on the bottom, looks just like the oil drain plug on the sump. Metal, get right under it you can't miss it.

Don't recognise what you've removed as mine was white, but assuming it's the same thing, that'll be the fill hole. Fill it with oil till it comes out of there. I'm assuming you got the butterfly thing from the front face of the box as you face it with the bonnet up.

The pipe on the top is a breather, but as far as I know you can fill it with that. You're supposed to use the hole on the front, but it is really awkward. I used a bit of garden hose and a halfords funnel. If you use the breather take care not to overfill it, make sure you leave the fill hole unplugged and fill till it comes out of that.

You really ought to use new washers on the drain and fill plugs though, especially the drain one. It's copper and crushes, reusing it will likely cause a leak.

yeah only about 2/3 litres, strange though i filled it up from that bottom butterfly hole, but put about 4lts in and it still wasn't comming out. anyway i finished now, the old stuff was quite thin, and very brownish/black, with quite a lot of grit & metal flakes in it :) just used some cheapo stuff comma, was only £17 from motorist discount center, motor parts direct wanted £25 for the same stuff !!!

brought a copper washer and plug from halfrauds as everywhere else was closed. £3.

So £20 for my gearbox oil change was good. also decided to try and fix my washer jets, and took it all to bits to find the motor was full of water so need to buy a washer squirter motor thang. from renault hope the parts dept are open tomorrow
