URGENT HELP NEEDED!!

Hi guys.

My 182 has the battery light and the stop light coming on at the same time.

To cut a long story stort, how do you adjust the belt on the alternator? Because i think that its slipping and causing the problem.

Please dont tell me I have to take the front end of the car apart!!!!

mine did this and it was a dodgy alternator.

I wouldnt muck around with tightening the belt..take it back to your dealer

I know to get to mine its bumper off but you have a warranty so Id use it

Only problem being that ist done 18000 miles and hasnt had a service yet. I know, I know!

When the did mine they had to remove lots of the front but that was just a new alternator.

Not sure if it is just the belt but you better hope it aint the alternator then...just a little past the warranty 12,000 service then!

Sod it and take it in anyway, they dont ask to see your service book for warranty work, do they check it against a register to see of the vehicle is in warranty ?

Not sure if the update their records when a vehicle misses a service..are they that organised?
