Urgent help with knocking please

was out last night and suddenly my car started making funny noises from what sounded like it was coming from the front right wheel. its sounds like the wheel is rubbing on something however ive checked and it isnt, the ohter strange thing is it doesnt do it when i accelerate?? only when i take my foot off the gas, i have no idea what it is

of coursem think it might be something to do with the brake, is it possible that the brake pads can move in so they rub heavily on the disk?

If it's like a grinding/rubbing noise that suddenly started happening... I once had a stone wedge between pad and disc!

Very unlikely but who knows. Sounded like my wheel had fallen off when it happened to me!
