Urgent problem, please help!

Hi guys sorry if this is posted in the wrong section.
When I accelerate hard the car cuts out and the light go off,when it comes back on all the trip computer is reset and the clock is reset, what would be causing this ?

Battery / alternator would be my guess !!
a dodgy connection on the batt maybe

Battery shorting out on the ecu cover?

SORTED!! Thanks for a point in the right direction lads =)
supprised the car didn't set on fire the sparks coming off the battery
first I thought it was the battery cover joining the + to the ecu cover

until I seen this bugger! The + wire must have been rubbing on the strut tower for a while because it had removed the paint and insulating wire cover

as a temp fox i have covered the wire in a lot of insulating tape but what can I do as a more permenant fix?

Move the battery forward.

How is the battery ment to be fixed down? Mine doesn't seem to be very secure
