mk2 1.6 16v with all extras including a/c: iv just had problems with the pully on my alternator stealer wanted over 500 for new alternator fitted but a mates dad welded the pully back in but of course this isnt really a long term solution and tbh i do need a new alternator, phoned around a few places and they all seam to tell me the alternator for my car which is 120 they dont stock and is like 200 quid plus vat and my old one in exchange too, if i got a alterntor from say a sport or another car that is 120amp or more would it fit onto my car and run fine?

no it must be the right one not all the bolt holes are the same etc. if the pulley came off renault sell the pulleys for them i think
