V-Band on Manifold?

Hi, V-Banding the 182 manifold.....can it be done on the car?
What material is the manifold made of?
Thinking of going decat on my Milltek, V-Bands wil ease the cat switch.

Manifold will be mild steel I think. Im currently having a V band installed on my manifold but having it done before I fit it as would be quite tight for access when its on the car and getting the weld all the way round it.
If access is too tight, you could unbolt the manifold and surely be enough room to leave it where it is but it’ll drop down enough to give clearance from the floor. Best of taking it to an exhaust fabrication place and let them decide what they can / cant do

I used vbands but just did a whole section in stainless steel dairy tube. Works nicely.

Bought this and it arrived today, looks to be pretty good quality and M/F. Full stainless flanges, I'll check they're not just plated tomorrow.

the Original fitting allows for some flex/expansion/misalignment.

wil replacing it with a V-Band cause problem is this regard?

Only if you've got standard engine mounts

Fit a flexi. I already had this work completed and thought I'd posted photos. I supplied all the pipe flexi and vvand and csk exhausts welded it up for me.
