Are they that bad? can get a pair cheap.

My 172 is currently on apex springs and stock shocks, stripped out fully just one bucket seat and its sitting way too high, track day only car but i drive to the tracks.

Yes.
On a budget, cup dampers and eibach or cooksport springs.

Stick with what you've got and save for some BC coilovers.

for the track they wont be great, they have a soft spring rate. they are more a stance boy coilover, if you dont care about scrubbing and performance, just looks.

as above, don't bother if its a track car, save for BC or better
