v6 Braking

V

v6Max

I am considering 3rd party pads (Pagid or Ferodos) and replacing the fluid with Castrol SRF. Has anyone done this? Got any recommendations? BTW this is on a Mark I v6

The car gets used on trackdays occasionaly and I know about the 18month lifecycle for the SRF fluid.

Pagid if your spending that much money.

But SRF, jeeze, i wouldnt bother with that stuff, so expensive and well, youll never really need it. 18 months, if your using it on track youll need to replace it more often than that. Just use some Castrol response super DOT 4..........

Not from Coatbridge I am from Canterbury.

Probably go with the Pagids since that is the 2nd recommendation for them - do you want to be more specific.

Will look into Castrol Response - had not had that recommended before.

well, SRF is highly expensive liquid gold and pretty good, but you really really really dont need it unless you have a tendancy for cooking fluid all the time.

Pagids, they are good.........in what way you may ask........they last longer, dont fade quite as fast (and if you getting fade i suggest a revision on your braking technique) and the only downside is the cost.......i.e. ALOT!
