V6 Carbon Fibre - Chavs Dream?

A chav mate of mine has just bought a Mk1 V6. He is convinced that the air intakes on the side and the engine covers are made of carbon fibre!

Didn't look like carbon fibre to me but can anyone confirm that he is wrong?!

Nah I've seen it, its just a standard unmodified (apart from tints) Mk1 V6. Not sure what those bits are made out of but it ain't carbon fibre but he was there in the pub car park going on and on and on and on about it!

It is obviously some kind of heat resistant material, just want to know what is so I can put him straight!

The air intakes are fibreglass with a solid foam/heat restistant material inside them.

K-Tic carbon fibre side air intake pods available for the V6. Priced at £270+vat. Not sure if these are lined etc.
