V6 Carbon Vents request

Ali

  V6, Trackhawk, GTS
Dont ruin a perfectly good V6.

It would hardly ruin it! i hate the black rims...no offence to jainy and Mossy but i don't like the wheels or matchin vents...

I like silver rims, but the vents could be a nice touch... Mind the wheels match the fuel filter...So not as tho it wouldn't match...

I see your point i just dont subscribe to it. I think it looks perfect the way it is and id be far more impressed with a clean standard well kept v6 than one that had bits sprayed or aftermarket carbon.

As long as you dont start thinking about side exit exhausts and exterior lighting modifications then i suppose its acceptable. :D

I'm not convinced on the carbon pods, it could work. I quite like mine as they are on my pov spec mk1 ;) (the same colour as the car)

wasnt there a illiad blue v6 a while back for sale with a carbon bonnet!? now that looked cool!
There was yeah, it was a cat D with a cheap rear job hence the bonnet & lack of zenons.

I though it looked odd tbh.

Ali, have to say either get the pods, wheels and other features done in the same colour or leave it silver, otherwise you will unsettle the balance of the car in my opinion...I am not sure if the anthracite/ carbon look works on the Illiad though, think it works better with silver/grey/black cars personally. The V6 is different enough without making mods that don't suit the car!

If the side pods are the same as the bonnets and splitters they will stone chip to fcuk and knowing how anal you are shorty you will hate it, save your money for haggis :p

Respray it white with jet black rims FTW ;)

Actually, those pics with the dark wheels make me want a V6, and I never thought I'd say that! Hardcore is the way forward, it removes the pansy factor and makes it look like a car designed to be driven rather than polished :approve:
