What delivery mileage should i expect on a V6 255, i read somehwere that its higher than normal due to extra testing. And what else should i look out for on collection?
If you follow Jon_rs advice, youll be rejecting the car. My Mk2 vee had 51miles on the clock, I was told by many, not just the dealer, that this is normal. Not saying Jons wrong, just telling you how it is.Quote: Originally posted by jon_r on 27 November 2004
Less than 20 other wise id reject.
Ive bought 3 brand new Renos since 2000, none have had more than 8 miles on them.

My 172 had a about 2 miles on the clock but heard normal delivery miles can be a little more.
Spoke to a guy at Renault who said about the V6s being tricky to get on the transporters coz of their width and how low they are. If that is true I supppose you might expect a few more miles?!?!?!
Is that because it has to be driven behind the transporter if it cant be loaded on to it?
I regarded it as good service. As I said, they told me what they were planning to do, and I was happy.Quote: Originally posted by TheRoninV6 on 28 November 2004

Mine had 40 miles on the clock when I picked it up. The dealer spent a week testing it making sure everything was ok. Several people at work spotted it being driven around.
I had been told about this before I took delivery, and the car has been faultless since I picked it up, so Im happy.
Incidentally, the only guy at my dealership who is insured to drive the Vee is the RTE.
The V6 will not go on a normal transporter, but there are smaller ones that can take it ok.
is this so called extra testing an offical renault thing? or is it some bollox the dealer uses as an excuse so they can have a play.

this is my 3rd reno, and the others had 8 miles on the clock, is what i want to know is what the v6 should have. so unless you have bought a brand new V6 and have first hand knowledge can you not clutter this post up with rubbish.

Jesus sorry! I was only helping, or so I thought. Remind me not to post in your threads again.

that post wasnt ment to come across as it did and wasnt speciffically aimed at you. Its just that a lot of posts on cliosport just tend to get cluttered up and all i wanted to know was about the v6 delivery millage and this so called "extra testing"
I asked about this when I ordered mine. The salesman told me theyd had somebody reject theres due to it having 50 miles on.Quote: Originally posted by TheRoninV6 on 27 November 2004
