V6 Exhaust

I have an original v6 exhaust back box that I'm going to put on the car again (no way I'm driving to Germany with the OMG supersport!!) but it's covered in rust. So I'm just looking for a few tips please, what is the best way to clean it up?

I was thinking a coat of something like jenolite? Then give it a good going over with some autosol?

Any tips will be appreciated

Presuming it's surface rust, I'd be tempted to use a rust remover and then polish it up with a metal polish (autosol, mercury etc).

If it's pretty bad I'd just have it cleaned up & sprayed black.

Mine Before then after. I used a lot of metal polish and a drill.
