V6 Fuel problem

I am having problems with my V6 it s going through fuel like nobody s buisness. I think it could be the auto choke stuck on as it is not starting well when it hot now. Could be an injector though. Anyone had same problems??? Or could eneyone shed some light on this for me please?

MPG ? ... I know Mikes ran about 18-20 when driven fairly hard.

No this is really bad maybe down to 5-10. When i used to drive it real hard was still getting 12- 14. thanks anyway

real bad mate.. use the car as an everyday car and I m just trying not to use it at the moment. It was always fuel hungry the way i drive but it just madness now.

get the emissions checked as this will be a good guide as to how the car is burning the fuel. this can also help narrow the field of possibilities. if still in warranty book it in to a dealer

My car does drink fuel like crazy too and it doesnt start well at all when warm. Let me know what happens after you check it. Thank you

The warm starting problem is something they all seem to suffer with - I believe it is a problem caused by vapour lock in the fuel system, and theres nothing which can be done to solve it (or at least so Ive been told by Renault, Alex, Scott, & others etc....)

I doubt this is connected with your sudden drop in MPG. Mine suffers hot starting problems, yet its still returning 26mpg even with the air-con on.....

Then I think mine def has problems. I do a lot of driving in the city in traffic under 10km and with the AC on, but does that give it an excuse to do around 200 miles?

it never had a problem starting before so i will let you know when i find the problem with the fuel and starting.
