the pisser was...i had gone past a guy standing next to his motorbike 200 yards before the corner....i never thought anything of it...thought the guy was maybe having a rest etc,

next minute he hears me spin and comes running down saying he had just came off on the same patch...written his bike off and hurt his shoulder pretty badly..

so the police came etc...took statements and gritted the road...and i got pulled out the hedge by a jcb

drove the car home at 50mph ish and it seems to drive fine..got away with it very very lightly IMHO!!!

im amazed how the car has stood up to it..the bumper is fecked obviously and theres a bracket broken on the drivers side light..but nothings bent, out of place or twisted..even the upper and lower grilles and foglights are fine!

this is a summary of what its gonna need..

new bumper
2 new arch liners (£250 each!!!!!!!)
headlight (ebay)
small crack on passenger wing..very easily fixed though
any paintwork from scrathes from the hedge

when it came to rest the car was actually sitting on its belly...totally resting on the skirts and undertray with 4 wheels off the ground...these parts are not even marked let alone cracked!!!! must be bloody strong stuff they are made from!!!

the car will be back to being factory fresh in a month or so hopefully!! depending on where i can source a bumper?!

i always thought it would be the mk1 vee that bit me...once it decided it was going though...there was no stopping or catching it..i was along for the scary ride!
