V6 starting problems from warm

I have a mk1 v6 and it starts perfectly from cold, but if i go for a drive and get the engine nice and hot then say go for a drink for about an hour or something, giving it time to cool down a bit but obviosly not totaly, it is a bi*ch to get started, seems worse on warm days like today. Think it might be something to do with the choke maybe. do you think renault would have any clue. Please help if you have any similar problems, what you think it could be...

This is quite embarrassing when you go to ur car, if its outside a pub or something, n theres people there, they watch you get in the car waiting for you to start it up and you have to turn the engine over about 20 times!

i was told that this is a common problem , and can take around 50secs to get em started. aparently its due to the fuel in the lines getting warm or somet like that
