Valver clutch cable help!!

Had a new clutch cable fitted on my valver, ordered it from renault. Now it doesnt go into gear easily as it turns out that the clutch cable is too long. Just wondering, does anyone know the correct length for the clutch cable on a valver and by any chance the part number?

When you say its to long as there to much cable movment?

Sound like you might have a Williams one.

has it got a self adjuster, that was the problem on me mates 1.4 after we put a new cable on it.

just a quick note valver and williams are not the same LOL!!

I had this problem when i fitted a new cable to mine, thought it was the clutch ratchet so replaced the pedal and still had the problem. Ended up cutting a few mm off the clutch return stop and the ratchet started adjusting correctly.
