valver clutch

does any one know a cheap place to get a new clutch put in my valver in the south east ?

Nowhere will be cheap unfortunatly

Ring round a few Renault specialists etc.. for quotes. I'm going to say £400+ as it's not a 2minute job!

As Daz said ring around many places won't touch it or will charge a silly sum.
You should be able to get it done for £300~£350 cash.
Make sure they use a proper Renault clutch not a copy one in any circumstances its 8hrs labour so if the copy one fals you've got to strip the engine gearbxo down again all for a few quids saving.

cheers i have been quoted 300 labour ontop of the price of the clutch what clutch would you advise me to get ? i would like to put cams and superchip in it later so is a sportd clutch a better idea i dont want to pay £300 quid twice

I got quoted £1200 from a so called renault 'specialist' once - How I laughed !!!

Clutch is £50/£60 (maybe less) I think for a recon from Renault. (Standard).

get a Valeo one, they are new not recon IIRC

cost about £80-£90 i think

I just got a valeo clutch kit which cost 94.64 from renault.

You don't need an uprated clucth until your start putting down over 200hp realy. My cars running about 180hp with a stock clutch and its fine.
These uprated clutchs are a right paint to live with day to day.

The R5 GTT Uprated clutch is terrible to use. Basically.. it's a switch - either on, or off.. and that's it.. heh.

you might want to get a better thrust bearing tho, the plastic ones do like to break...

the uprated clutches arent that bad tbh. iv had my uprated unit in for 2 years now...its absolutely perfect for the strip, and heavy abuse, full throttle changes/clutchless changes etc, sat in traffic with it isnt exactly a problem either, altho it does get a bit tiresome after a couple hours in traffic.

bb tuning quoted me that price not sure what to do now with the mixed responce might just stick a starndard one in it cause im not going to do a lot of mods thanks alot for all your help cant belive how many responces igot used to own a corsa and go on one of there forums and every one was useless never knew anyhing
