Valver DeCat

Hi all!

Have looked thru a lot of old threads regarding the effects of a decat and am still unsure whether to go for it or not as for some it seems to have made a nice difference to some and others worse off.

The only mod to the car at present is a Cat back Magnex.

Do any of you valver owners have a similar set up and what are your personal experiences after getting de-catted... Has anyone been RRd before and After?

Sorry to raise a topic that has been covered before but I thought this was a little more Valver specific than other Decat threads!

Thanks for any help you can give :D

Best mod ever for £50.

I run a Mongoose system with a BB de-cat (as does BenR, but not by choice I think). Loud as hell. Warbles like a turbo on full throttle at low revs and pops and crackles like the Group A Clio Maxi rally car would. Just awesome and motorways are not a problem with the noise if you drive everywhere at 55mph like me. But probably best to get a silenced one if you do a big urban commute or similar.

Fitted mine during a period when my Valver was off the road and my fuelling is probably different from most other Valvers (its tuned) - so cant comment on the power. Never faster though!

ive got a piper system with de-cat , and it sounds awesome like ben described pops and burbles on rev down like a rally car !

standard system with de-cat (stelth stylee), far smoother and a bit pokier. i think the words de-restricted :D
