valver engine mods

  Snotter's
can good power gains be had from the std valver engine or would it be more economical to drop in a williams lump ? do valver respond well with exhausts, cams and re-map ? thanks

I have pretty much the same mods on my willy lump as i did on my valver and the difference is unbeleivable.

So willy lump really!

Valver will respond well if you have headwork done or put a 2ltr head on it...port sizes are too small as std.

Much as i thought, probably for the cost of tuning get a willy lump fitted with greater scope.Any ideas of how much an engine and transplant would cost ?

^^Port sizes are to big as standard. Best thing you can do is save for a williams lump. I ve had and tuned both engines williams is miles better.

F7R all the way! nearly all the quickest clios are 2.0's!

i spend loads tuning my old 1.8 up, and a 2.0 with basic mods was still quicker

Doh - i meant valves!

The perils of trying to install oracle db and post on CS a the same time...too distracting to do either well! lol
