Valver - Ignition Coil/Crankshaft Sensor

Right having disected most of the car at uni today, i have found out that the problem with the car lies somwhere in either the ignition coil or the crankshaft sensor as the distributor cap isnt getting any voltage from the ignition coil. Is there a way i can test whether the crankshaft sensor is broken, and if it is how do i get to it and is it easy/expensive to change?

well... there is a way..

take out the crank sensor. Get a ohmeter and read the electric resistence of the crank sensor. It should read something like 200ohms. If not, its broken/dead.

Dont know the price of the sensor... you can get it out using a nº11 tool. (damn english).

good luck.
