Valver Questions

Ok ive just got my Clio valver with a williams 2 engine and ecu but 1.8 manifold, airbox and gearbox. got a few qs

1. If i fit a williams airbox will it give slightly better performance(more airflow) over the 1.8 airbox?

2. The williams ECU doesnt let the ABS work, would it be possible to get the ECU remapped to make the ABS work?

1. No difference between either airbox.

2. no, youll need your 1.8 ECU with ABS on it, then remap that to run the 2ltr engine.

oh right but if i increase engines performance with cams etc with the 1.8 ECU still be as good? do all valver ECUs have ABS on them?

the original ECU that the engine is off has little bearing when (and if) you remap the entire fuel and ignition tables.

Not all valvers have ABS no, only a few. use your old one.

You could always go get a Williams 3 ecu as they had abs.

ill try and source a willy 3 one since i dont have the original ecu. how much do the ecus tend to sell for?
