Valver vs dCi fuel saving

Im buying a dCi as a second car to go to work in and was looking at the fuel savings:

You only get 20 MPG in the Valver!!!

Bit low isnt it!

yea i only get that and am about to drop about a 200bhp 2.0 in it

feckin hell mate. i easily see 30 in mine.

i suppose at least when you drop the new lump in youll be used to the low mpg

id love to get 30mpg, although my 16v seems faster than any other ive met on the road so that might be to do with it.

& Im sure you wont get 60mpg if you hammer it like the valver lol!

Is it a Dci 80 youre gettng? If you hammer it everywhere in that you will average low-mid 50s

I average around 60 in mine, sometimes high 50s and thats with alot of motorway miles.

Gettign 60 out of the Dci seems litle high estimate low 50s thats what I get driving it.

If your getting 20 out of a 16V Id say driving the Dci as hard you would get high 40s. The lowest I ever got was 37 and that was absolutly hammering it.

i have saved so much on fuel, insurance and road tax since i bought a dci. it is nearly enough to warrent buying a old fast car. will do this next summer me thinks

I get 48 at the mo out of my dci80. Usually low 50s in the summer. Colin, I may be selling mine soon (ie in the next month or so) if youre interested?

Sorry but 20mpg in a 16v aint right - 33mpg would be about average id say. i used to easy clear 400miles plus on a full tank before i had my 2.0ltr put in. Seems like your running rich - real rich if you ask me. Even if you drove every where like a nutter you should see better.

How many miles do you get from a full thank?

I get about 160/170 miles per tank in the valver.....

In my RSi I get about 70 miles max to a tenner, what is that in miles per gallon???

i average high 50s/ low 60s mpg but can get higher if crusing on the motorway or driving miss daisy

I get 45 miles to the gallon from my Williams (yes i do drive like an old man most of the time). 20 is a bit low.
