Valver window not working

My drivers side window stopped working suddenly the other day. It wont go down at all, but when i press up you can here it try to move so it looks like powers getting to the switch. The passenger side works fine though, its just the drivers side switch.

Is this a comon problem? is there an easy way to fix it?

could be the window regulator(thats the rail ur window slides up and down on)commonly known to dry up i.e grese/oil.try takin the window up or out and re-grese the regulator
