Very different ways to have fun - 182 and MX5!

My mate has just bought a Mark 1 MX5, 84k miles, mechanically spot on but bodywork is a bit rough. Total - £900!

We've been out for drives in both cars recently and although they offer very different types of driving fun, they're both very entertaining on country roads! Had a brief drive of the MX5, roof down and I can definitely see the attraction of them as a cheap, fun car!

A few shots from this morning:

A couple of shots of the pair. The MX5 makes the 182 look like a bloody Transit van :)

nice mate. Get yourself a splitter for the front of that 182. looks wierd without it.

£900 quid is cheap for a two seater.

Like the striped 182

But why is you tax disc practically in the middle of your windscreen? :S :rasp:

I've always wanted an mx5 but it'd have to be turbod as i couldn't cope with the lack of out right pace when roads open up. I can imagine it being great fun on smaller roads even with standard power.

haha yeah the tax disc holder was put there in a rush and the sticky stuff is like No More Nails so it won't move now :)
Thanks for the comments on the plate too, had it for years now!
The MX5 is definitely good fun, roof down clowning around on the backroads!

Haha as per the original post it was £900 with a decent sized dent on the front wing, a couple of serious patches without lacquer or seriously knackered lacquer. However it is mechanically perfect and drives spot on :)
