Very low revs on cold startup

Ive noticed this problem for a while now, I start the car up, idle sits where it should on a cold start for approx 1 second, then drops very very low, almost feels like its going to cut out, lot of chuntering from the engine. Then about 4 seconds later goes back up again.

Anyone know what it might be before i take it into the stealership.

Car is a Mk3 Clio GT 1.6

I think this is quite a common thing for clios.
I have 2 172 Clio's and both used to do the same thing.

When was the last time your car had a full service?
