Very quick question

when the fuel light comes on in your car, how many miles have you got left roughly?

personaly, wouldnt push it more than 5 miles or so coz you dont know what cr*p is in the bottom of the fuel tank getting into your engine

cars have fuel filters so thats not an issue. as for how far you can go, how far is work ?

nope lol mine had about 36 miles when light came on that was at 26mpg

touch and go tbh, most manufacturers allow a margin of error a reserve if you like but why not just fill up on the way there or way back ?

Mine will just get me home from when the light comes on, So about 35 miles. But thats pretty much all dual carrageway/motorway on the way back.

Id have thought yours would drink less than mine, but I dont know if the tank is the same.

most miles ive done after the red light is 30. that was taking its steady. This is normally when on a mission to have optimax.

On my old car (306 Rallye) there was a massive 7 litres left when the light came on and you could go for miles & miles extra without a fill up. That did have a bl00dy great 60 litre tank though!

on the computer on my 172 it reckons Ive got about 60 miles to go when Im running really low on juice. Never had the light come on yet tho.

my cups light comes on and when i go to fill up i can usually only just get 40litres in it, 50litre tank

i managed to drive from M1 J30 to Derby with the light on in my old RT. Was about 40-50 miles!

And they do have fuel filters, but they can easily get blocked up with crap...!
