gearbox out and back in is a good what 3 hour job anyway? atleast, be as well changing clutch while your at it then you have the price of gearbox oil on top of that too

just been to the local garage, and its booked in for wensday, the crank seal is £16 and the labour will cum up to about £140ish

the lad that had it befor me had the clutch dun at 50,000 its now on 58,000 so not sure weather to do the clutch????

does this sound reasonable????

That's a good price!

Check the clutch isn't covered in oil when you're there.

sounds too cheap, gearbox off is not a simple job on a clio due to how the subframe is right beneath it, so it's either engine out or subframe off before you can even see to get the box off.

Most clio's ive been under have a tiny amount of oil that leaks out, catches in the under tray. Pretty normal.

You dont mean this do you?
