Vibations in Sunroof

I have come to be really annoyed at the vibration noises that come from the blind mechanisms that cover the sunroof, it seems to vibrate pretty much all the time, especially when I am at idle or have my stereo. Now currently it is the summer so i am ok with opening the sunroof to prevent such noises (i.e. stop the blind retractor thingy touching the glass) but before winter draws in i want to fix this.

Is this a common problem?

Does anyone know how to fix/prevent this from happening?

Ive got the same problem. I usually get someone to hold the roof up

Me too. In my RT my mate always slightly opened the sunroof (i always used to try to close it more) and it seemed to cure it. Only problem was we both forgot about it parked in the train station all night and it pissed it down. Set off the next morning to get absolutely soaked.

Finally dried out about almost a week later.

I hate that sunroof!!!

Best bet is to take the blinds out entirely and then limo tint the glass. Problem is that as far as I can see, the roof lining has to come out to get to the blind mechanism.

Id weld it over if I was ever going for a full respray.

I had this for ages. I just tigten it up as much as I could and it stoped, well for the time being away

Ive got the same problem! got rid of it by fidleing with the blinds eventually slideing the drivers side blind a little to the left and it solved my problem no more rattle!

Lol, seems like quite a few people have a prob with their sunroofs, I know mine annoys me when u sit there and all u can hear is a rattling sound.

its not the sunroof that rattles its the blind thingys that u pull across it!

Mine only rattles if Im stationary doing nothing. If I increase revs to say 1500rpm, it seems to cure it.

Ill go mess with the blinds a bit, see if that helps.
