Vibrating exhaust driving me mad!

Right, had my cambelt changed last week. After picking car up as soon as i had chance, down went the right foot through the gears. From 1st to 5th under reasonable acceloration there is a awful vibrating noise. Sounds like the exhaust/manifold is vibrating on the chassie/sub frame somehow. Anyone else have this problem? needs fixing asap as its sounds proper s**t and im getting tired of it thb!!

Mine does this, sounds like the car is falling apart!

Heat shield could have dropped.

Could be hitting off the rear beam.

Im gonna side with Andyman on this and say that the heat shield may have dropped

Could also be that they haven't put your engine back in the same as it came out. i.e. slighty further back in the engine bay.

Just take it back and tell them to take the engine back out and do it properly.

Or Try loosening your top mount and pull your engine forward.

But at the end of the day its the garages responsibilty.

But if i were you id not boot it too much you dont know what its vibrating against and clios aint exactly made to a good standard or have much forward thinking when they put em together.

It could be just a heat shield, it could be exhaust on subframe which if you have much engine movement could fcuk your exhaust.
Plus if your exhaust aint sat right in its place then the heatsheilds aint reflecting the heat away from where it can do harm i.e. Brake lines And fuel lines. Just a warning not to sure where they are on your wagon.

Mine does this too but only after I had the cam belt done..... Do you need to remove engine mounts etc when doing this?

could be your centre section!...my rattles like f*ck....sounds like a really loud vibration
