Vibrating noise

There is this vibrating noise coming from the back of my car, it stops when I depress the brake pedal. Release the pedal and noise comes back on. What do you guys reckon? Is it due to sticky pads or rusty rear discs?

Also, am thinking of lowering, running on stk wheels. Any diff in ride bet Eibach Pro, Sportsline and the Ktec ones? Would 30mm be too low for the stk wheels?

worn rear brakes?

exhaust? pressing the brake would cause the engine to rock the other way on its mounts so maybe moving the exhaust away from what its catching on.

check clearance and security of all heat sheilds on the exhaust.

btw what is this 4k rattle that I keep seeing in some threads and what could be the cause of a warped disc? Sounding like a muppet I know!

I doubt it would be a warped disc as they are very hard to warp !! The 4k rattle is a problem that a lot of 172/cup owners experience at 4000 miles, i think its an exhaust related rattle !! Have your exhaust looked at, as it may be knocking on the heat shield or similar !
