Video Editing Software?

Hi Guys,

Have my races in MPG format and want to do a 'highlights' video (i.e. cut them down). So need something basic, and easy to use. Not going to use the software often, so ideally something cheap too!

What should i use?

Windows movie editor can do this. Sony Vegas is also very good!

Vegas is OTT to be honest, you just need the new movie maker.

Aquiring Vegas is simple enought. It's like buying photoshop though! ££ for what you want it for really.

I have it on my desktop if you want any help etc.

Just realised i have the Windows Movie Maker pre-installed, just hard to find! Kind of does what i need, so thanks for the tip.

Here's another issue though. A few movies i have saved are like 30mins long. However, when viewing in Windows Media Player it says the movie is 35 seconds long! Then when you edit it WMM in, it only allows me to edit the first 35 seconds! Think it was a formatting issue when the video was first captured?

If you want something cheap and powerful I can recommend adobe premiere elements. £60ish and IMO is far easier to use than windows movie maker and has non of the limitations.

I'm pretty sure you can download a 30day trial too.

Try Roxio too. I moved onto it from Movie Maker, It's powerful imo.

I started with that and have moved on to Magix movie edit pro very basic and very easy to use
