*Videos* 2 Noises need diagnosing if possilbe

Hi all,

I have got 2 strange noises coming from the engine of my 182. In the first video as you can hear soon as you click to ignition a electric whine sound is constantly heard coming from around the inlet manifold area I think...when the ignition is turned off it stops and 2 clicks are heard also coming from around the same area :/ I thought the inlet manifold is empty??

In this video there is a quite loud rattle that is heard as the revs fall to just above idle....at first it only did it with a cold engine but it now happens more frequent. Its not that noticeable on the video but happens around 5 seconds, 9 & 11 in etc.

Any help would be great as i'm still waiting to get to a specialist.

First vid the noise is normal, as is the 2 clicks.

Second video I cant really hear anything abnormal, I know its hard to capture small rattles on video.

Also your fuel rail guard is missing?

Thanks for the help mate! Can't recall hearing that first noise before but glad it's ok and the second noise is a lot more noticeable with a stone cold engine so will have to try and get another video if needed. It only happens as the revs fall just before it idles can't hear it when revs are climbing. Thanks

Give it an oil and oil filter change mate if not done recently, also could be worn engine mounts, gearbox mount or something making everything vibrate just that bit more.

I am actually doing the oil and filter next week as it's been 6k since and I thought engine mount at first but it's strange how it only happens just before the revs hit idle and the noise changes as the engine gets warmer and cools :/. I understand how ark ward it is doing this over forums but till I get a day off work suitable I have no other options and don't want to kill my car

Quite noticeable from the middle to end just before the revs settle. Any help would be great.

I listen for noises all the time and with the clio theres always something else I'm wondering about... but from the video I cant hear anything bad, have a look around the engine bay whilst someone revs it slightly, if your really worried book it into a specialist.

Do you think its more coming from the engine or the middle of the car? if its on the original exhaust it could be the exhaust internals.

I am 99% sure it's coming from the engine Bay Area and I have tried that listening thing but as it's not mega loud it's hard to pin point but sounds louder over the inlet mani area
