Viper or BMC

  Integra DC5 Type R

Pretty much the same thing. Same concept for both, cold air induction kits. Prob no performance difference between the two

Whats the chances of K-tec selling me a throttle body adaptor for the CDA then?

Thats the only reason I considered the Viper. Same price but comes with the adaptor.

i prefer the look of the viper with its big throbbing red end (oo err;)) but i cant imagine there being much performance difference. the only thing i heard is that the shape of the viper supposedly forces more in than normal but i doubt it makes a diff

some jargon from pipercross site:

The Viper uses velocity air force to direct cold air directly into the engine. The cold air feed takes air from behind the grill straight into the Vipers 100mm inlet, swirling it through a unique Pipercross reverse flow filter contained within a carbon fibre heat shield, and then into a ram pipe to increase the pressure before feeding it into the induction system. The carbon fibre heat shield protects the charge from under bonnet heat keeping it cool and therefore more dense thus introducing more oxygen into the combustion chamber, giving increased power,
The reverse flow technology filter and 150mm ram pipe make use of the physical phenomenon of air moving faster on the outside of a bend, so when teh air is being sucked around the full radius the air gets accelerated down the centre of the inlet.

Viper sounds better!!!

imo its madness to buy a viper when th cda is a)better and b) cheaper
true, even if there the same with regards to power, the BMC is FAR cheaper

and better.

:p

seriously, mine with a cda made more on the rollers than a 172 with a viper.

I just fitted my Viper (200 all in with the cliosport offer)

OMFG!! The growl, the pick up.... well impressed :)

How is it so much cheaper. Ive only seen them at Passion Motorsport for c£190. The Viper from ktec is c£210.

Does someone else sell them cheaper than above?

Factor in the bracket though that comes with the Viper.

I suspect the BMC is better as it looks longer, therefore would be able to compress the air better, but I may be talking crap there.

I got the bracket with my CDA included.

At the end of the day its your personal choice, there all much of a muchness.
