Its a new virus thats being released tomorrow .It apparently affects microsoft word , excel and powerpoint . And i think pdf files . If you have the free version of AVG you won't be protected from it either now that symantec have taken over .

Never used Mcafee but its supposed to be good from what i hear . Check out Mcafee's website to see if your gonna be ok i guess .

MyWife.d!M24 is a mass mailing virus that contains its own SMTP engine to construct outgoing messages, has the ability to spread through open network shares, attempts to lower security settings, disables security software, and overwrites files. The threat activates the third of every month, starting tomorrow, February 3rd. The worm harvests addresses from local files and then uses the harvested addresses to send itself, producing a message with a spoofed "From" address.

I just changed to AVG from Sygate for that bloody reason!!!!!
