Heres a few things i put together to help anyon ecoming on the trip, hope it helps or reminds you of things to sort out.

Stuff to Remember:
Fines: On the spot fines are issued. Ensure an official receipt is issued by the officer collecting the fine.
Drinking and driving: Don't do it. Over 0.05 per cent and you could face anything up to imprisonment.
A full UK driving licence is required. As in the UK, seat belts should be worn front and rear.
Supermarkets: Most supermarkets are closed on Sunday.
Failure to Comply:
On the spot fines can be imposed In the event of prosecution and conviction for failure to comply with the legal requirements of EU countries.
Motor insurance: third-party insurance is compulsory. A green card is not required but your insurer should be advised of your trip.
Vehicle Checks: Make sure you check all items on your vehicle before leaving the UK, making sure the vehicle is in a roadworthy condition.

Dry Weather Limits:
- Built-Up Areas: 31 mph (50 kph)
- Outside Built-Up Areas: 55mph (90kph)
- Dual Carriageways and Non-Toll Motorways: 68mph (110 kph)
- Toll Motorways: 80 mph (130 kph)
Wet Weather Limits:
- Built-Up Areas: 31 mph (50 kph)
- Outside Built-Up Areas: 49mph (80kph)
- Dual Carriageways and Non-Toll Motorways: 62mph (100 kph)
- Toll Motorways: 68 mph (110 kph)
"Rappel" means a continuation of the restriction.
The Penalties
Under new laws, foreign-registered cars caught by cameras speeding in France will be recorded on a national register - not good news if you're planning on visiting regularly with your car.
